Archived Data Systems | Along the Border there are a number of data archives or data warehouses either collecting data from within a particular agency or collecting data across agency boundaries. |
Border Inspection Systems | Development of systems that automate border inspection processes. |
Commercial Vehicle Operations | The CVO area includes the development of systems that automate the commercial vehicle clearance or safety inspection process. As it pertains to the border regions this area will include the roles and responsibilities of the state, provincial, and federal agencies that coordinate the movement of commercial vehicles and freight across the border. |

Emergency Management | Development of systems to provide emergency call taking, public safety dispatch, and emergency operations center operations. |

Traffic Management | Traffic Management deals with the development of systems to monitor highway arterial traffic flow and roadway conditions. Includes systems to provide information to travelers on the roadway and signaling system that react to changing traffic conditions and provide coordinated intersection timing over a corridor, an area, or multiple jurisdictions. |
Traveler Information | The development of systems to provide static and real time transportation information to travelers. |
