Toll Authorities
Description
Government agencies (could include public–private arrangements) responsible for the administration, operation and upkeep of bridges, tunnels, turnpikes, and other fee–based roadways. Includes setting tolls, managing their collection using manual and automatic methods, and managing the roadway. Also operates a clearinghouse of information to share tolling data between Toll Authorities.
