Information Flow Definitions
arriving train information (Not Planned)
Information for a train approaching a highway–rail intersection that may include direction and allow calculation of approximate arrival time and closure duration.
asset ID (Not Planned)
A unique identification number and optional additional information. This flow represents the output of an RFID tag that is used for identification and tracking of assets, including both passive and active RFID tag technology options. For active tags, additional stored information that conveys additional information about the asset (e.g., lot number, production date, service data) may be provided along with the unique ID.
rail crossing blockage notification (Not Planned)
Notification that a highway–rail intersection is obstructed and supporting information.
rail crossing operational status (Not Planned)
Status of the highway–rail grade crossing equipment including both the current state or mode of operation and the current equipment condition.
track status (Not Planned)
Current status of the wayside equipment and notification of an arriving train.
